The Institute of Applied Ethics is a centre of expertise for research in business ethics and corporate ethics, as well as ethical foundations for sustainability and education.
We aim to bring business and ethics into dialogue in teaching, research and practice, working across disciplines and faculties.
We focus on the following three areas:
(1) Ethical foundations of sustainable business and economics
(2) Sustainable entrepreneurship (through the third-party-funded project “PATEC: Passau – The Entrepreneurial Campus”)
(3) Sustainability transformations in organisations and society (through the third-party-funded project “Ecosocial transformation in detail: Laudato si’ and Fratelli tutti in research and practice,” in cooperation with the Diocese of Passau)
